Independent software company

We design and build software products, end to end.

Codando is a software company from Brazil. Two of our products are live today, Agora and Cenaculum, and we are building Prumo, a platform that makes Brazilian election data easy to explore.

What we’re building

Where the money in Brazil’s election campaigns came from, and where it went.

In development Prumo covers the 2026, 2022, and 2018 general elections.

Prumo turns the campaign finance data published by Brazil’s Superior Electoral Court (TSE) into something anyone can explore: candidate profiles, money flows, donors and suppliers, and the connections between them.

Connections Prumo maps A donor gives to a party and to a candidate, the party transfers money to the candidate, the candidate pays a company, the company holds a public contract, and the candidate filed a government plan. donationdonationtransferexpensecontractfiledDonorPartyCandidateCompanyGovernment planPublic contract
Illustrative schema of the connections Prumo maps. Circles are people and organizations; rectangles are documents and records.
  • Follow the money

See who funded each campaign and where the money was spent, from donations to supplier payments.

  • See the connections

Donors, suppliers, parties, and candidates linked in one graph, matched by official identifiers, never by name alone.

  • Check every number

Every important figure links to its official source, and Prumo’s own calculations are always labeled apart from official values.

  • Read the government plans

Candidates’ official plans, kept exactly as filed, with an index to find each topic.

Independent and neutral

Prumo has no affiliation with the TSE, political parties, or candidates. Parties never get a color, and patterns in the data are described, never presented as evidence of wrongdoing.

Next: AI-assisted summaries

In development

Summaries of long documents such as government plans. Any AI-generated text will be labeled as such and linked to the passage it summarizes.

Live today

Products you can use today.

  • Agora

    Live

    Federated chat, voice, and video

A client for community chat built on the open Matrix protocol, organized into spaces and rooms the way Discord users expect. Agora connects to any Matrix server and brings text rooms and always-on voice rooms together in the browser.

How we build

Every product, built end to end.

Codando takes each product from the first sketch to the server it runs on: the interface, the data, the real-time systems, and the infrastructure.

  • Web applications

Fast, accessible interfaces built with TypeScript, Angular, React, and Next.js.

  • Real-time communication

Voice, video, and screen sharing over WebRTC and LiveKit, and federated chat over Matrix.

  • Public data pipelines

Official open data downloaded, cleaned, and modeled with DuckDB, with every change between publications recorded.

  • Infrastructure

Services deployed from versioned NixOS configurations, on servers Codando runs itself.

  • TypeScript
  • Angular
  • Next.js
  • React
  • Node.js
  • DuckDB
  • ECharts
  • WebRTC
  • LiveKit
  • Matrix
